   Thursday, May 10, 2007
“Are we going to have a post graduate School of Ministry?” Francis Adedeji joked as he took the microphone to address his fellow graduates as co-valedictorian of the Class of 2007.

Pastor Don Keathley began the evening as he reminded all present of his vision for starting the SOM back in 1989 –

  • To teach how God works in the life of a believer, especially those called to function in a New Testament Church.
  • To teach Spiritual Authority in a way that will limit church splits or schisms.
  • To answer the question “What is a New Testament Church?”
  • To move all the leaders and intending leaders of New Zion unto the same page.

“This class caught what it needed to catch and grasped what it needed to grasp”.

Karla Morales

The class comprised of people from different tongues, tribes and continents as evidenced by the co-valedictorians; Francis Adedeji from Africa, Kathy Brown from North America.

OTHER GEMS FROM THE PASTORS ADDRESS TO THE CLASS –

  • Two people missed only one question on the final test, a first in the SOM!
  • “You are diamonds in the rough and have tremendous room for growth”.
  • It is time right now for you to position yourself in positions of leadership at every level in NZCC.
  • There is a lot of ministry opportunities waiting for you “within and without NZCC”
  • If you see a need, fill it. Don’t wait to feel led (“lead”) if you want to feel “lead” go get a pencil!
  • U know so much and to whom much is given, much is expected.

Lisa Wool

Lisa Wool who co-taught the class reminded them to –

  • Live a Crucified Life.
  • Live the Resurrected Life.
  • Love the Church Which is the Body of Christ.

Kathy Brown rounded up her co-valedictorian address by saying “We are now equipped to turn Houston “right side up”.
