In a recent survey of Sunday School attendees at New Zion, 96% of the feedback was generally positive.

The Sunday School program of NZCC is headed by Brother Aloy Okogbue. There are children, youth and adult classes offered for the spiritual development of the attendees.

Adult classes include –

• Married Couple’s Class
• Journey Through the Bible Class
• Understanding the Kingdom Class
• Outreach Class
• Hispanic Class
• Men’s Class

There are separate classes for Children, Junior Highs and Senior Highs. During the survey, people were asked not to put their names on their answers so as to provoke a higher level of honesty in the answers.

Many respondents mentioned the open discussions style of the program as very appealing to them. Another person said “I have become more passionate about the word of God”. Somebody else wrote “I have received a clearer vision for my life, Sunday School is as important as the regular Sunday service to me. My class has impacted my life far beyond my expectations!”

A previous nationwide research done by the Barna Group says that Sunday School attendance of parents has significant implications on the spiritual future of their children.

• When both parents attend SS, 72% of the children attend when they are grown!
• When dad only attends SS, 55% of the children attend when they are grown.
• When mom only attends SS, 15% of the children attend when grown.
• When neither parents attend SS, only 6% of the children attend when grown!

Obviously, the spiritual future of the next generation is bing decided by the spiritual habits of their parents today.

In the New Zion SS survey when asked “To Those Who Don’t Come to Sunday School I Will Say…”, an overwhelming majority 98% implored the people to come. One respondent summed it up “Come to Sunday School, it will enhance your walk with God, It will open your eyes to who God is get you closer to Him.”
