Pastor Diane Jones took a bunch of youth out to Discovery Camp in Columbus Texas for a time of refreshing in the presence of the Lord.
The youth of New Zion presented a dance at the camp (supervised by Sukky Fagbohun) that made it into the last 5 of over 35 youth groups at the camp.

     Rachel and Tommy Burchfield have been hosting the summer camp for over 15 years to enrich the spiritual lives of today’s teenagers.

     Pastor Diane said “I was particularly moved when at the end of the camp, the entire youth group formed a circle and made a new commitment to love and honor –

    Pastor Diane wants to say a special thank you to the anonymous donor from the church who asked and said “I will sponsor as many teenagers who wants to go but cannot for financial reasons no matter how many they are!”

     The “Kingdom Seekers” have their own church services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month in the Youth Room that boasts ping pong and pool tables, air hockey, shuffle board, out door basket ball  and volley courts. The area youth receive ministry with state of the art sound equipment, stage lighting and multimedia presentation.

     Pastor Diane Jones said “The Lord has called us to raise champions and leaders and we are very committed to that call” 95% of kids who pass through the Teen Program at New Zion end up in Colleges like Duke, UT, Texas A&M, University of Miami, Louisiana State University, Tulane to mention a few while protecting their faith. Others have gone on to represent the nation in the field of athletics and academics.
