“Clearly, this has been our best Vacation Bible School ever.” Said Ms Margaret Faluade.

VBS 2006 has come and gone but the lives it changed and impacted are still with us. The number of kids who registered for the event varies from 140 – 150 depending on who you talk to but what was most impressive about this year was approximately half of that number were unchurched kids from our community.

They came from everywhere. At various points, you could not determine who was having more fun, the kids or the volunteers.

The registration crew led by Ms Sherry welcomed the kids and set everybody at ease.

Ms Shawn did a terrific job with her group of singers in leading the kids into the presence of God. One of the parents who is from the Bahai Faith religion walked up to Ms Margaret during the week of the program and said “Thank you guys so much for doing this for our children. I want my children to go to camp and I will be coming too.”

“Clearly, this has been our best Vacation Bible School ever.”

The crew leaders were incredible, James Yaklin and his team did an amazing job of ministering to the kids, Kathy Brown and her crew at their own station did not disappoint either.

Ms Sukky came up with some of the neatest craft and Ms Linda made sure that everybody got fed every night.

When the altar call was made on Thursday, the altar was jammed as children crammed the front of the youth room to give their hearts and lives to Jesus.

Ms Margret the Children’s Church Pastor, announced on Thursday that there will be a Fiesta Party on Sunday morning at 10.45.

Many kids who had never been to the church came to the event and were blessed.

Ms Margaret is already planning for camp in July 7th – July 9th. The cost is $75 and the theme is “Pour it On!” Call 281-589-9159 ext 309 for more information
